Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has received UK MHRA approval for Unit XII facility.

Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, UK (UK MHRA) has recommended UNIT XII formulations manufacturing facility of the company as a site to manufacture formulations for UK Market. Unit XII is situated at Hyderabad.

Unit-XII of the company is dedicated to manufacture high-end betalactum range of products. The total area is spread over 15228 sq. meters, with a built up area of 12180 sq. meters. The plant is capable of manufacturing Dry powder injectables, powder for oral suspensions, tablets and capsules, stated a company release.

Unit XII is also approved by US FDA, South African MCC and Brazilian ANVISA in addition holds ISO and approvals from several other countries. The company has filed several dossiers with European authorities for its APIs and formulations. Recently UK MHRA approved first formulation of the company's sertraline.
