Avery Dennison to showcase pharma packaging solutions at Innopack 2012
Avery Dennison will feature its extensive range of pharma packaging solutions at CPhI (Innopack) 2012, including moisture-resistant blood plasma bag labels, pre-filled syringe labels, low-migration labels, security labels with luminescent properties, hanging labels and functional bookmark labels.
With product and brand security challenges continuing to dominate debate in the pharma industry, Avery Dennison has been focusing its research and development on these technically advanced label solutions. They will be on display from October 9 to 12 at Feria de Madrid, Spain.
“Pharma has some of the most diverse and challenging requirements of any industry,” says Mirta Zuccala, business development manager Pharma at Avery Dennison Materials Group. “The products we are showcasing at Innopack are world-class and able to meet an enormous range of industry requirements. Our experience has been that customer support is equally important, and our technical specialists help to deliver effective solutions quickly. A commitment to continuity means that customers enjoy both the innovations they need and the stability to maximise returns.”
Featured Avery Dennison products include:
Pre-filled syringe labels that provide stable light transmission, good heat, steam and chemical resistance and reliable luminescent properties. These labels are also easy to manufacture, print and dispense.
Sharp Tear labels that can be added to any existing packaging, providing immediate evidence of counterfeiting or product tampering. Serial numbers can be read directly through the clear version, giving the most cost efficient option on the market. This high clarity (clear) or high opacity (white) label was designed for pharma brands.
Blood plasma bag labels that can be applied permanently onto plasma bags straight out of the freezer, without wiping, which is ideal for products that must withstand both high and low temperatures. Outstanding moisture-resistance ensures reliable identification, from blood collection through to testing and distribution of information.
Low-migration labels that improve drug safety by significantly reducing the risk of migration. This is particularly beneficial with low density polyethylene (PE) containers. The proprietary clear label adhesive also performs exceptionally well on small-scale containers.
Hanging labels that offer exceptional tear resistance and use high shear adhesives, providing an economical solution for hanging intravenous bottles or pouches.
Avery Dennison products meet regulatory and compliance requirements, while addressing specific application challenges such as small diameter containers and hostile environments. Technical innovation also ensures that wider business requirements are met and exceeded, including product differentiation, increased productivity and enhanced shelf impact.
