The Chennai-based Bafna Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a manufacturer and exporter of drug formulation, has announced its second quarter and half yearly results ended September 30 2009.

The sales for September 2009 quarter increased by 81.56 per cent to Rs 1688.04 lakh compared to Rs 929.74 lakh in corresponding quarter of previous year ended September 2008. EBIDTA for September 2009 increased by 61.89 per cent amounting to Rs 306.08 lakh compared to Rs 119.91 lakh in corresponding quarter of previous year. Net profit for September 2009 has increased by 5.23 times amounting to Rs 123.83 lakh compared to loss of Rs 23.64 lakh in corresponding previous quarter of last year.

Net profit for September 2009 has increased by 512 per cent amounting to Rs 219.62 lakh compared to Rs 35.84 lakh in corresponding period of last year. Net profit margin for half yearly ended September 09 is 7.18 per cent compared to 2.60 per cent in the corresponding period of last year. Sales figure for half yearly ended September 09 has increased by 122.60 per cent to Rs 3058.07 lakh compared to Rs 1373.79 lakh in the corresponding period of last year. EBIDTA figure for the half yearly ended September 2009 increased by 138.17 per cent amounted to Rs 504.61 lakh compared to Rs 211.87 lakh in the corresponding period of last year.
