BIJS teams up with Pink Hope Cancer Patient Support Group of HCG Foundation to treat cancer patients
The third edition of Best of India Jewellery Show (BIJS) 2013, Bengaluru has tied up with Pink Hope (Cancer Patient Support Group) under the aegis of the HCG Foundation. BIJS supports the cause by pledging certain proceeds from the exhibition to Pink Hope. The funds through this initiative will be used to treat patients who otherwise would have not been able to get any treatment.
This is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of BIJS which is a representation of all the small and big jewellers of Bengaluru.
Speaking about the initiative, Dinesh Madhavan, director healthcare services, HCG Enterprises Ltd. said that they are happy that BIJS has taken the cause of the fight against cancer in woman and thank BIJS for taking up this noble cause and joining Pink Hope in our vision of making cancer care accessible and making life qualitative.
Pink Hope under the umbrella of HCG Foundation is improving the quality of life of cancer patients by empowering them to avail the best that medical science can offer.
Very often, patients who come to HCG's doorstep are those who would benefit immensely from treatment if they could just afford it. In such cases, HCG Foundation holds hands with financially challenged patients and puts them on the path of swift recovery. It has helped over 1000 patients since its inception, from concessions to covering the entire cost of cancer care. HCG Foundation raises funds through a unique business model, apart from the regular donations that today amount to more than Rs.3 million.
