Bilcare consolidated sales up 26%

The consolidated sales of Bilcare, an integrated service provider to the global pharmaceutical sector, for the year ended March 31, 2010 stood at Rs 1047.48 crore as against Rs 856.02 crore of previous year, a growth of 22.4 per cent. The consolidated EBIDTA was Rs 259.70 crore (growing at 33.7 per cent over the previous year) with the consolidated net profit after tax at Rs 116.87 crore, a growth of 40.9 per cent over the previous year.

The India standalone sales stood at Rs 549.65 crore as against Rs 471.33 crore of previous year, a growth of 16.6 per cent. The India standalone EBIDTA was Rs 165.53 crore (growing at 26.5 per cent over the previous year) with the India standalone net profit after tax at Rs 75.28 crore, a growth of 24 per cent over the previous year.

The overseas business of the company continued to show healthy growth, achieving Rs 497.83 crore in sales for the year as against Rs 384.69 crore of previous year, showing a growth of 29.4 per cent. The EBITDA from overseas business for the year grew to Rs 94.17 crore from Rs 63.37 crore in the previous year, resulting in a growth of 48.6 per cent. Similarly, net profit after tax from the overseas business stood at Rs 41.59 crore as against Rs 22.24 crore, a growth of 87 per cent.
