Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., a multinational manufacturer and distributor of life science research and clinical diagnostic products, has received a three-year sole source group purchasing contract for its blood bank reagents from the Premier healthcare alliance. Premier is among the largest healthcare group purchasing organizations in the United States.

In addition, Premier awarded another three-year national agreement to Bio-Rad. This will continue to provide Premier members access to Bio-Rad's line of immunohematology products.

"This agreement provides Premier members with access to Bio-Rad's high-quality, cost-effective, blood group serology testing solutions, both with traditional product lines and automated platforms," said John Goetz, president, clinical diagnostics group at Bio Rad. "We look forward to continuing our relationship with Premier and providing enhanced value to their members."
