BioDiscovery Inc has signed a non-exclusive co-marketing agreement with Corning Incorporated, a world leader in optical communications and more recently a major contributor to the microarray market. Under terms of the agreement BioDiscovery and Corning will co-market BioDiscovery's market leading software products for microarray analysis and Corning's gene arrays.
"BioDiscovery is committed to offering our customers state-of-art software for microarrays and we see this co-marketing agreement consistent with this objective," said Dr. Soheil Shams, president of BioDiscovery. Under the agreement BioDiscovery will add templates for Corning's gene arrays to the BioDiscovery ImaGene product family. ImaGene is widely recognized as the industry leading software for microarray image analysis and quantitation."
"Corning Incorporated is known not only for its world class manufacturing capabilities, but also its innovative business solutions that will ultimately benefit our customers," states John Lubniewski, director of sales and marketing for Corning Microarray Technologies. "We believe that this is one of many steps which will ensure building strong relationships up and down the value chain and at the same time offer a complete solution to our customers."
This co-marketing effort will allow Corning customers the benefit of having an open format, and will promote ease of use for those who are using ImaGene software.
