BioITWorld and MedPharma World Conferences to be held concurrently at Singapore

BioITWorld Conference & Expo, a major event organized for life science professionals, entrepreneurs and scientists, is to be held at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Singapore on May 29th and 30th, 2002.

The event provides a platform for leading visionaries from the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, academics, industrialists and venture capitalists to come together to share and learn the latest tools, services and training which accelerate, store, analyze and interpret the flood of information being produced by the life science industry. According to information from the APBioNet Secretariat, the APBioNet members participating in the event are to get 20% discount on the delegate fees. Many Indian scientists and R&D institutions are members of APBioNet, the Indian node of which is at Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB).

The conference and expo will help the visitors evaluate and understand how advanced IT solutions, computational technologies and bioinformatics are transforming the life science industry throughout the entire discovery and development processes.

The organizers claimed that the conference would facilitate the exchange of information, unravel new business opportunities and discover new innovative technology and solutions that will revolutionalise human health, environment and society.

Held concurrently with BioITWorld Singapore, is another related event, the MedPharma World Singapore 2002. The MedPharma World focuses on the latest discoveries and developments on medical and pharmaceutical related research, innovative treatment technologies, advanced medical and therapeutic equipments, new drug manufacturing techniques etc. It also explores investment and business strategies for funding bio-research and drug development projects.
