Bipha Drug Laboratories a manufacturer of ayurvedic and allopathic formulations based in Kerala, was conferred with 1SO 9001:2000 certification in recognition for its compliance with the quality standards of QRC international.

The manufacturing plants of the company located at Ettumanoor Industrial Estate and Devalokam were audited by KPMG for compliance with the international standards last month.

The company already got Good Manufacturing Practices certification by the Drug control authorities.

Raja Varghese, the managing director of the company remarked that the ISO 9001:2000 certification is a reaffirmation of the quality of company towards the customers and practitioners.

The company manufactures a range of patented ayurvedic tablet formulations to address conditions like hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, insomnia, cardiac disorders. Bipha exports products to Europe, US, Middle East and South East Asia, a company release said.
