Bishwajeet Roy, a veteran chemical industry professional and ex-executive director of ThermoFisher Scientific has joined Finar Chemicals, an Ahmedabad-based leading manufacturer of Laboratory and Fine Chemicals as the chief operating officer. Roy has an industry experience of 31 years and has held significant portfolios in his career.

The company also announced an expansion project of its manufacturing facility the capacity expansion of from present day 2000 MTPA to 12000 MTPA with an investment of Rs 20 crore. The expansion has been funded partially by the promoters of the company and have also availed finance from banks. The new state-of-the-art plant spread across an area of 15000sq.yards would have an enhanced capacity of over 6 times and boasts of a highly advanced solvent purification as well as a powder manufacturing unit. Installed with modern safety equipments, AHUs & sophisticated testing equipment this plant would be GMP & GLP compliant.
