BME introduces Speed Arc Nitinol Fixation System for sloping surfaces
BioMedical Enterprises (BME), privately-held leader in orthopedic shape memory implant technology for small bone fixation, has launched the Speed Arc Nitinol Fixation System, the world’s first superelastic shape memory fixation device that conforms to the sloping surface of the metaphyseal anatomy. This addition to the current patented BME Speed Fixation System is available in three different sizes to ensure a proper fit in varying patient anatomies.
Ideal for proximal and distal Akin osteotomies of the foot, the Speed Arc has the same great features as BME’s current Speed system: constant compression to optimise healing, implant pre-loaded on a patent-pending insertion tool for ease of use and pre-sterilised, disposable instrumentation for simplified operating room logistics.
