Boston opens new facility dedicated to training in endoscopic at the Institute for Advancing Science in Paris
Boston Scientific Corporation, a worldwide developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices, celebrated the opening of a new facility dedicated to training in endoscopic, at its Institute for Advancing Science in Paris.
The ceremony was attended by leading representatives of the European medical community endoscopy. The training and professional education in the field of endoscopy are now part of the multidisciplinary programmes available to European physicians at the Institute in Paris.
The Institute is equipped with the latest technology in order to support an integrated didactic medical education and practice in the field of endoscopy. It makes it available to a wide range of endoscopes, bronchoscopes, advanced visualization and numerous organic and non-organic models to recreate and simulate realistic clinical conditions, suitable for training and education. The doctors will have access to a laboratory full of endoscopy, equipped with instruments for the fluoroscopy and simultaneous translation systems. Boston Scientific offers a wide range of training courses, from basic to the most advanced levels, for a wide range of skills and techniques, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), the cholangioscopy and bronchial thermoplasty (BT). The Institute of Paris reinforces Boston Scientific's commitment to innovation and professional education, through the provision of facilities for the training of the highest order, designed to meet the training needs of endoscopists, employees all'endosonografia and pulmonologists.
Over the last year, Boston Scientific has trained more than 25,000 health care professionals around the world through local and regional programs, seminars, courses and assessing performance. In Europe alone, more than 2,500 nurses and technicians have participated in more than 12 countries, more than 300 educational sessions are part of the Professional Development Program of Boston Scientific. The company has also introduced several new centers of excellence.
