Broadlane Inc and NHD Inc have signed a contract for NHD to provide radiology supply distribution services to Broadlane's customers. The three-year agreement, which is effective immediately, covers the distribution of conventional and dry diagnostic imaging film, barium, contrast media, film processor service and other medical imaging equipment, supplies, accessories and services. The contract will provide Broadlane customers with access to these NHD products at preferred prices and terms.

"Broadlane has built one of the most impressive purchasing programs in the industry and we are delighted with the opportunity to be able to serve their diverse hospital and other healthcare facility customers," said Steven D. Johnson, president of NHD. "They consistently achieve some of the industry's highest levels of compliance to their portfolio of contracts and it is a privilege to serve that kind of committed customer base."

NHD is owned by 26 large regional distributors of medical imaging supplies that work collaboratively to negotiate and manage the national account contract business of NHD. The company has 109 distribution centers, more than 800 technical service personnel, and more than 240 account representatives.

The companies that own NHD are located throughout the U.S., giving the broadest geographic coverage of any channel of distribution in this business and allowing them to deliver the highest level of custom, hands-on, and immediate service to the largest number of customers.

"We are committed to offering our customers high quality products backed by exceptional customer service," said Scott Balsters of Broadlane's Contracting Services Department. "Our customers recognize NHD's reputation for delivering on both of these requirements and are already expressing interest in this contract."
