C-Square poised to integrate ‘PharmSPA’ into pharmacy trade operations
C-Square Info Solutions Pvt Ltd, a dedicated pharma software provider, is set for a pan Indian expansion with ‘PharmSPA’ which is designed to specifically address the needs of the distributor, retailer and sales-marketing segments. The company is keen to infuse more efficiency into the pharmacy trade sector which is the backbone of the drug industry to boost the supply-chain management.
PharmSPA is a primary business management application tool for the pharma industry. The web-enabled ERP (enterprise resource planning) is a composite software embedded with components like ‘Live Order’ for trade and warehouse management.
Each of these components are spun off into six specific products: Pham-Assist for the distributors, Pharm-Soft for retail (with CIMS book embedded into the application), Go4Plus for warehouse or C&F agents, Go Green for Virtual Distributor Centres and Live Order for all distributors. An on line version: Stock & Sales.com has been developed for medical and marketing representatives for the first time in India.
Currently, the company has 3,000 installations in 70 locations in southern India including Sagar Pharma, Religare, Trust, Narayana Healthcare. Out of these 500 distributors use PharmAssist and Vardhaman Pharma is one of them.
India’s pharmacy trade market has 5 lakh retailers and 50,000 distributors. C-Square has a strategy in place to spread its tentacles into the north, west and east. The company has already assessed the demand and sales revenue potential because the pharmacy trade sector is set for exponential growth. The sector requires a ‘fast-smart’ solution to streamline medicines orders and simplify delivery time lines. Further C-Square has many positive end-user experiences which are a yardstick to measure installation success.
“We have been the pioneers to develop a dedicated software solution for the distributors and retailers with Pharm-Assist version 1. The software was upgraded to keep pace with the changing needs of the sector. Although the use of this software to make systems efficient in India is still in infancy in the pharmacy trade, going forward the user base is poised to hit high if more outlets could be drawn into the IT system, Sripal Bachawat, Director, C-Square told Pharmabiz.
The ability to view the entire supply chain, complex web of orders, stocks, allocation, adherence to timelines and manage operations in a decisive manner have been the key factors for success with the customers. In fact, the ‘Live Order’ component in PharmaSPA has enabled distributors to reduce the delivery turnaround time by 25 percent to the retail chemist and increase business orders by 20 percent, said Dilip S Jain, director, C-Square.
The cost of PharmSPA is between Rs 25 lakh to Rs. 1 crore. Pham-Assist is between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. Rs. 4 lakh. Pharm-Soft is from Rs. 7,500 to Rs. 21,000.
