The Hyderabad based Care Hospital has chalked out its future expansion plans by investing Rs 500 crore in next five years. At present, it operates 12 hospitals across India, and will increase its current bed capacity from 2000 to 5000. For this purpose the company is in talks with various private equity firms for raising fund.
Speaking to Pharmabiz, L V Rajendra Kumar, chief of business development, said, "For the next five years, we are planning to invest overall Rs 500 crore, which will include bed capacity expansion from 2000 to 5000 across India. Simultaneously, we are in the process to set up many heart speciality hospitals. At this moment we haven't finalised the number of the hospitals and locations but very soon we will be able to get it done".
The company is aggressively looking out new locations at Hyderabad, Bhuwaneshwar, Raipur, Nagpur, Pune and Cochin. It has plans to further increase its bed capacity in its existing hospital across India. At Hyderabad it will add 1,000, Vizag - 500, Vijayawada - 100 and 300 each in Bhuwaneshwar, Nagpur and Surat. Its various hospitals have received various accreditations from the government body. The Care Hospital of Hyderabad has received NABL accreditation where as its Nagpur hospital has received ISO 9001:2000 certification.
Few days back, with the total investment of Rs 25 crore it has commissioned its new multi specialist hospital in Surat. The hospital has a 110-bed facility which is equipped with various services. It has latest techniques for treating comprehensive cardiac, including catheterization procedures, cardiac surgeries and other specialized treatments. The focus will be on cardiology, cardiac surgery, critical care, general medicine and other specialties like gastroenterology, laparoscopic surgery, nephrology and urology, neurosurgery will be added in a couple of months time. The company has advanced cardiac thoracic (CTOT) surgery operation theatre in the existing hospital premises.
