Centre notifies fresh input-output norms for 30 chemical and allied export items

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has notified additional standard input-output norms for 45 new export items. In the fresh notification, the DGFT has also released amendments, corrections and deletions in the standard input-output norms for 77 existing export items.

Out of the 45 new norms announced now, 30 are related to chemicals and allied products. As per this, the fixation of standard input-output norms will facilitate issue of advance licences for these additional items to the exporters without any need for referring the same to the headquarter office of DGFT on repeat basis.

The input-output norms is important as far the advance licenses for the exporters to import raw material and also in the case of evaluating the export volume to give due export credit under DEPB scheme.
