Centrix Pharmaceutical Inc., a privately held developer and marketer of prescription and non-prescription pharmaceutical products, has signed a manufacturing and supply agreement with Cedar Pharmaceuticals for Northyx (methimazole) oral tablets. Pursuant to the Agreement, Centrix will sell and distribute four strengths, two of which 15 mg and 20 mg have not been previously available.

Northyx is manufactured and supplied by Cedar Pharmaceuticals, a privately held developer and manufacturer of pharmaceutical products. "Northyx represents another opportunity for Centrix to provide caregivers and patients with treatment options," said John R Bob Booth, president and CEO of Centrix Pharmaceutical.

"With the addition of Northyx 15 mg. and 20mg. tablets as well as the launch of Northyx 5 mg. and 10 mg. tablets, those patients suffering from hyperthyroidism can now potentially reduce the number of tablets they are required to take daily to maintain appropriate thyroid activity. The new strengths provide greater flexibility for prescribers." David Lohrey, president and CEO of Cedar Pharmaceuticals said, "Cedar Pharmaceuticals is looking forward to a long, successful partnership with Centrix. Centrix adds the sales, marketing resources and talent that are needed to bring the benefits of Northyx for hyperthyroidism to doctors and patients."
