Over 12,000 people were present at the second Chemspec India exhibition, held on 5-6 April in Mumbai, adding in about 3,200 pre-registered exhibitor stand personnel.
Chemspec India 2006 occupied 5,025 m2 of net exhibition space at the NSE Goregaon and brought together 291 exhibitors from 12 countries, highlighting a wide range of products, services and technology for the custom, fine and speciality chemicals markets.
For the next year, the event will take place on April 18-19 at the MMRDA Grounds in the Bandra Kurla Complex at Mumbai.
Davide Manfrotto, Manager of the Generic APIs division at FIS in Italy, said, "It went well and we are satisfied with our first experience of exhibiting in India. We are seeing increasing interest from Indian pharma companies in Western API suppliers as the Indian industry shifts its focus from APIs to finished dosage forms."
Chemspec India is jointly organised by dmg world media, Chemical Weekly and Services International.
