The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has launched an immune count machine to monitor the count of CD 4/CD 8 in the HIV/AIDS patients who are on anti-retroviral treatment. The machine helps in finding the state of immune system in people affected with the diseases.
The machine was installed at the Osmania General Hospital at Hyderabad last week. CII has also decided to induct the machines in three other hospitals of the country.
The CII is to partner in providing testing and tracking facilities for HIV/AIDS patients. As of now, it has joined hands with the Governments of Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka and Nagaland.
The CII Social Development Panel has taken up various development programmes to promote education and for women empowerment.
CII state vice-chairman MK Patodia and CII Social Development Panel convenor Manoj Kumar were present at the occasion.
