CII to conduct international conference on health tourism at Kerala
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is planning to organize an international conference and exhibition on health tourism, 'Kerala Health Tourism 2006', in partnership with the Government of Kerala, Department of Tourism, from March 23 to 26 at Kochi.
The international conference will discuss topics including Medical Tourism-Opportunities and Challenges, Medical Tourism - Preparedness of Indian Hospitals, Patient Safety and Quality Care, Emergency Medical Services, Rejuvenation Therapies, Hospital Accreditation Process, Hospital Rating and Quality Assurance, Health Insurance and Third Party Administrators, Expectations of International Medical Tourists and the ways of making Kerala a preferred medical care destination.
The Kerala Health Tourism 2006 is aimed to benefit the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from public and private hospitals, hospital administrators, hospital department heads, state health and tourism departments, doctors, medical associations and institutions, informed the CII officials. They added that the conference is also expecting delegation from medical equipment companies, foreign or Indian insurance companies, health insurance companies, Third Party Administrators (TPA), hotels, tourist resorts, travel and tour operators and airlines.
CII is also organizing an exhibition along with the conference. The Health Tourism Exhibition is to provide an opportunity for leading National and International Insurance Companies, Embassies and Trade Offices, leading Hospitals, Hotels and Resorts and Spas to exhibit their products and services, according to the organizers.
