CII to organize 2 nd nanotechnology Conclave on February 15, 16 in Delhi

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is set to organise the second Nanotechnology Conclave by February 2007 at New Delhi, in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology and Ministry of Science and Technology.

The conclave, planned to be held on February 15 and 16 in New Delhi, is intended to forge partnerships for collaborative research and product development with Indian industry. The conference will explore the possibilities of Indian industry to take part in research, product development and production of nanotechnology related products and also to explore possibilities of setting up joint ventures in India, according to the CII officials.

The sessions will focus on topics including nanomaterials, electronics and devices, processes and tools, bio-nanotechnology, environment and energy, information and communication technology with views from experts in the industry and institutions. The conclave is envisaged to reach an outcome of compilation of technologies and products available with the institutes or the industry for collaborations and commercialisation and facilitation of collaborations.

The first Indo-US Nanotechnology conclave held February 23 and 24 this year in New Delhi, was inaugurated by Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, President of India.

The aim of the forthcoming conclave is to offer a platform for the organizations and industry to reach premium positioning in brand building and to add value in terms of reaching out to the top honchos and decision makers of the corporate world and the government sector, added CII sources.
