Ciphergen Biosystems achieves ISO 9001 management system certification

Ciphergen Biosystems Inc announced that National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) recently approved Ciphergen's quality management system to international quality standard ISO 9001:2000, the newest version of the standard. The scope of the approval is the design, manufacture and distribution of ProteinChip Systems and Arrays, including related instrumentation, consumables, accessories and services.

William Rich, President and CEO of Ciphergen, stated, "We're gratified that our commitment to continual business and quality process improvement has been recognized through this international standard. These quality standards are an important part of our evolution from providing tools and services solely to researchers and biopharmaceutical manufacturers to providing tools and services for other markets, such as in vitro diagnostics."
