Cipla net up by 16% to Rs.270 crore in Q3

Cipla Ltd, a third largest pharma company in India with consolidated net sales of Rs.6,100 crore plus, has posted satisfactory performance during the third quarter ended December 2011. Its net profit increased by 15.9 per cent to Rs.270 crore from Rs.233 crore in the similar period of last year. Its net sales also moved up by 14 per cent to Rs.1,711 crore from Rs.1,501 crore. The earnings per share for the quarter worked out to Rs.3.37 as against Rs.2.90 in the last period.

For the nine months period ended December 2011, its net sales increased by 10.8 per cent to Rs.4,994 crore from Rs.4,509 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Its EBDITA moved up by 16.8 per cent to Rs.1,278 crore from Rs.1,094 crore and net profit grew by 10.5 per cent to Rs.832 crore as against Rs.753 crore in the same period of last year.
