CIPP to be held at France from March 29 to 30, 2008

With an objective of creating a close working relationships between leading specialists in paediatric pulmonology from both developed and developing countries, the eighth edition of International Congress on Paediatric Pulmonology (CIPP) would be held at Acropolis Convention Centre, Nice, France, from March 29 to 30, 2008. This two-day congress would address subjects like asthma and respiratory allergies, respiratory infections and tuberculosis, cystic fibrosis and snoring.

The congress would feature interactive sessions - both in conventional and quiz formats - on the use of the newest and latest technology in bronchoscopy and respiratory imaging, young investigators forum, interactive clinical case sessions, satellite symposiums, a workshop and a keynote lecture by Dr Heather Zar, a renowned leader in paediatric pulmonology, from South Africa.

The young investigators forum at CIPP would award a total of 6 prizes in the form of travel awards to young investigators in paediatric pulmonology, whose work has been selected by an international special jury. These recipients will be offered an opportunity to present their research in a plenary session, according to sources.

Around 2000 doctors from nearly 90 countries treating children with chest diseases are expected to attend the congress to learn and teach together for the common purpose of improving the treatment of their young patients.
