CPhI Worldwide, the largest international convention on pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates, will be held at Paris-Nord, Villepinte, France from October 3-5, 2006.
Over 1,500 exhibitors of API's, intermediates, excipients and other fine and specialty chemicals and more than 21,000 visitors are expected to participate in the fair. The 16th CPhI Worldwide took place in the Feria de Madrid in Spain from 1-3 November 2005 had attracted 1,439 exhibitors from countries like Germany, UK, France, USA, China and India and 21,024 attendees from 119 countries. Two allied exhibitions - ICSE - the International Contract Services Expo and P-MEC - the Pharmaceutical Machinery and Equipment Congress are also part of the event. This tripartite of events allows visitors to indulge in the complete one-stop-shopping experience for every part of their pharmaceutical manufacturing business.
The 2006 event will have a number of specialist pavilions, specifically to enable attendees to meet with companies from specific countries or who specialise in specific products. In addition there will be a number of geographically targeted pavilions from Brazil, China, France, Japan, Korea, Argentina, India, USA, and for the first time Portugal. A special area for biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector, BioTech HotSpot, will exhibit some of the world's leading suppliers in this burgeoning market. During the course of CPhI Worldwide 2006 there will be a comprehensive programme of showcases from many of the exhibitors. These free sessions will give an opportunity to find out more from many of the leading practitioners in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
The third edition of CPhI innovation awards will allow visitors the opportunity to listen to the final presentations by the short listed nominees in advance of the judges deliberations. The winners will be announced at a special reception on the evening of 3rd October.
CPhI was launched in 1990 by CMP information as an international convention on pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates, which attracted 250 visitors and 16 exhibitors. The event is organized by CMP Information, a division of CMP information Ltd., part of the London Stock Exchange listed media company United Business Media with headquarters in London.
