Being in the industry, I have studied on various aspects of an individual entering the clinical research industry. I have noticed several weak and strong points in him. I will utilise this knowledge in filling up whatever is lacking in our students by helping my team at CREMA design relevant courses, as per the requirement of the industry," said, Dr Nadig.

Prior to this appointment, Dr Nadig was associated with Triesta Sciences India Pvt. Ltd, a leading cancer care and research institution in Bangalore. Besides, he has also headed clinical research in reputed pharma and clinical research companies in India, including Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk.

Welcoming the appointment, Dr SM Sapatnekar, dean, CREMA, said, "CREMA is currently on an expansion drive, with several centers, students, partnerships and courses in the offing. In such exciting days ahead, Dr Nadig will be the right colleague to share the responsibility of academic and operational challenges. I wish him all the luck."

CREMA has its centers at Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. It offers courses related to clinical research, including clinical data management and pharmacovigilance. The courses not only help in developing clinical research professionals, but also managers of tomorrow.
