Dept of AYUSH, FICCI to organise Arogya 2005 at Hyderabad

The Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organising a health fair 'Arogya- 2005' at Hyderabad on November 11-13, 2005.

The event is to showcase the strengths and potential of traditional systems of medicine, exhibit the research and development efforts of various government and private institutions and agencies, enable interaction with practitioners and consumers and other stakeholders to reach out and learn from each other.

It will also be instrumental in projecting future trends and requirements in AYUSH healthcare sector, create awareness among individuals and professionals about Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy and to harness the potential of this fast growing and globally emerging sector.

The Government of India has recognised the challenges of nurturing these systems to help expand the reach of these low cost, non-invasive services. The Department of AYUSH has been organising Arogya, a comprehensive health fair since 2001 as an awareness generation exercise.

The exhibition will primarily include Ayurvedic, Homoeopathy, Unani, Yoga and Naturopathy products, medicinal plants, Siddha products, food supplements, relatable technology, health fitness system, health tourism, medical electronics health insurance, therapies-herbal, panchkarma etc.

The exhibition will be held at People Plaza, Necklace Road, Hyderabad.
