To showcase the ayurveda, unani and sidha products of the country to the world market, the department of Ayush, in association with the ministry of commerce and Pharmexcil, is organising a four-day trade fair Arogya-2007 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi from October 26. More than 50 high level delegates from around 30 countries are expected to participate in the event.
Ayurvedic Drug Manufacturers Association (ADMA) general secretary Ranjit Puranik said the four-day event will be a good opportunity for the Indian manufacturers to showcase the ayurveda, unani and sidha products to the world. More than 50 high level delegates from around 30 countries are expected to participate in the mega event. The delegation will include Ayush experts and regulatory authorities of the participating countries.
Puranik said regulatory authorities from US, European Union countries, Russia, Australia, ASEAN countries like Nepal Sri Lanka, Malaysia etc will be participating in the event where they will discuss the registration procedures in their respective countries.
The fair will be a good opportunity for the Indian companies to interact with the world market leaders and they can also use the opportunity to allay fears about the quality of Indian products. There were some apprehensions among some of the markets about the contents of the Indian ayurveda products.
Around 150 Indian companies will showcase their products in the event.
