Hyderabad is hosting the 34th national conference of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADV&L) from February 1st to 5th, 2006. The focus of the scientific programme is on common disorders encountered in India such as leprosy, sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, psoriasis, acne and vitiligo.
Special sessions on dermatological and cosmetic surgery, cosmetology, paediatric dermatology and HIV medicine are arranged at the conference.
Some of the internationally reputed dermatologists like Dr Robin Graham Brown from England, who is also the president of the British Association of Dermatologists, Dr Susan Burge, Dr John Harper and Dr Celia Moss from UK and other experts from Netherlands, US, France, Germany, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India will share their experiences and will update on the advances made in the segments.
Over 3000 delegates have registered for the conference from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kenya, Uganda, and South Africa.
The IADV&L comprises experts dealing with diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS and leprosy. The association has a membership of over 5000 specialists from 23 states.
