Dishman Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals has posted consolidated net profit growth of 13.7 per cent during the first quarter ended June 2016 to Rs.45.51 crore from Rs.40.02 crore in the corresponding period of last year despite lower sales. EPS improved slightly to Rs.2.82 from Rs.2.48 in the last year. The company reduced its interest burden to Rs.22.46 crore from Rs.31.80 crore. Its other income increased to Rs.7.01 crore from Rs.3.94 crore.
Its consolidated net sales declined by 8.5 per cent to Rs.365.88 crore from Rs.400.04 crore. Its sales from CRAMS business increased by 2.3 per cent to Rs.257.62 crore from Rs.251.88 crore. However, other sales declined to Rs.108.20 crore from Rs.148.16 crore in the same quarter of last year.
Dishman scrip of face value of Rs.2 each declined by Rs.3.2 on BSE today and closed at Rs.164.15.
