Indian Pharmacological Society (IPS) has awarded the Professor BN Ghosh Oration Award to Dr Prakash V Diwan, deputy director and head- Pharmacology Division, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad.

The award will be conferred during the 37th Annual Pharmacology Conference to be held in January 2005 at Kolkatta. The award was instituted in memory of Professor Ghosh, a founder member of the Society.

Dr Diwan has won various awards in the past include 'Young Scientist Award' from National Academy of Medical Sciences, 'Gufic Award' from Indian Pharmacological Society, professor Chandrakantha Dandiya Award in Pharmacology.

He is a GLP inspector and a NABL Assessor, Government of India.
