Dr. Ravindra Bapat is the new MUHS VC
Dr. Ravindra Bapat has taken over as the new Vice Chancellor (VC) after the retirement of Dr. D.G. Dongaonkar as VC. Dr. Bapat (61) is a MS in Surgical Gastroenterology (SG) and FICS.
Before getting into the VC’s seat, he was the Chairman of the Mumbai-based Haffkines Biopharmaceutical Corporation. He was also Professor Emeritus and Head of the Department (HOD) of SG at Seth G.S. Medical College, KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He also was HOD, General Surgery at the college. Interestingly Dr. Bapat completed his graduation and PG from Seth G.S. Medical College.
