The European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP) is organising three days 19th Congress in Barcelona, Spain, from March 26-28, 2014 at Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona. This year the theme of this congress is “The innovative hospital pharmacist – imagination, skills and organization”.

Experts to be presented at the congress includes: Dr Roberto Frontini, EAHP President, Prof. Dr Cees Neef EAHP Director of Education, Science and Research and Dr Teresa Bermejo Vicedo, member of the EAHP Scientific Committee. Approximately 4000 attendees, from more than 50 countries, will be present at the symposia.

A scientific programme including three keynote presentations, 14 seminars open for interactions with the speakers and five interactive workshops, will offer participants the unique opportunity to meet, network and share expertise. EAHP’s industry partners have also committed to conducting satellite symposia highlighting important new developments to hospital pharmacy.

EAHP’s Congress is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education, as well as by some of its national member associations according to the different national accreditation systems.

Experts will highlight the preview of the week's Congress and explore its theme of innovation; elaborate on the forthcoming European Summit on Hospital Pharmacy, exclusively share results of recent EAHP research; and reflect and share information and opinion on hot political topics affecting hospital pharmacy in Europe, including medicines shortages and professional qualification recognition.
