Edutech, a leading learning and performance management solutions provider, has tied-up with Serendio to offer 'DisKoveror', a platform that supports semantic discovery, analysis and visualization of unstructured content in an enterprise for lifesciences and knowledge processing organizations (KPO).

DisKoveror offered by Edutech and Serendio, allows the user to discover, analyze and visualize unrelated facts buried in all forms of digital assets within an enterprise. It adopts the latest advances in computational Linguistics, Machine Learning and Ontologies. The product also increases the drug discovery productivity through entities, mining and visualization. It identifies opportunities and alliances. It is context-sensitive for relevant information.

Chennai-based Edutech provides solutions to business enterprises including academic institutions. Its global alliances and presence across India, Middle East, US and Malaysia ensures cost-effective, faster-to-market solutions.

According to Ravi Condamoor, chief executive officer, Serendio, "Edutech's vast experience in selling high value products to the Life Sciences industry is complementary and synergistic to Serendio's capability to productize research ideas. Together Edutech and Serendio will provide Lifesciences customers with knowledge solutions to drive business advantage and competitive differentiation."

Life Sciences is information intensive. Companies face challenges in knowledge discovery. Actionable knowledge is often embedded in technical abstracts, business reports, theses, patent documents, lab workbooks etc. Efficient access to such knowledge across content silos generates sizeable time and cost savings.

"DisKoverer fits perfectly into our suite of knowledge solutions for the Life Sciences Industry. With DisKoverer, we are able to provide our customers with more than just information, but the ability to 'analyze', relate and make sense of all the unstructured data that resides in independent silos of information as well as internal information repositories across various Bio Pharma functions like Business Development, R&D, Intellectual Property and Regulatory Affairs," said Shameema Parveen, Knowledge Officer, Edutech.
