Elder Pharmaceuticals Q2 net soars to Rs.19.34 cr

Elder Pharmaceuticals has posted impressive performance during the second quarter ended September 2011 and its net profit went up by 41.5 per cent to Rs.19.35 crore from Rs.13.68 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Its EBDITA also moved up by 32.8 per cent to Rs.57.21 crore from Rs.43.08 crore. The company's consolidated net sales increased by 57.2 per cent to Rs.331 crore from Rs.211 crore in the similar period of last year. With significant growth in profits, its earnings per share reached at Rs.9.42 as compared to Rs.7.25 in the last period.


For the first half of 2011-12, Elders' consolidated net sales increased by 55.8 per cent to Rs.631 crore from Rs.405 crore in the same period of last year. Its net profit went up by 30 per cent to Rs.39.46 crore from Rs.30.36 crore and EBDITA by 35.3 per cent to Rs.112.13 crore from Rs.82.90 crore. Its interest burden increased to Rs.40.75 crore from Rs.29.09 crore, a significant rise of 40 per cent.
