Emageon announced that Genesys Health System in Michigan has selected Emageon's enterprise-class software technology solution to manage its entire acquisition, archiving, distribution and viewing of digital images.

Genesys Health System will use Emageon's enterprise image management software suite to provide a total RAID-based, "all spinning" archive for its ten-county system. The five-year contract extends through 2006 and will also provide enterprise-wide diagnostic and clinical viewing of over 800,000 studies.

Genesys Health System, a health ministry of Ascension Health, is a regionally integrated health care delivery system comprised of a group of affiliated medical campuses, outpatient centers, primary care locations and ancillary health care organizations serving the mid-Michigan counties of Genesee, Shiawassee, Lapeer, Oakland, Livingston and Tuscola, with an additional four counties in the secondary market.
