Envirotainer opens new service station in Liege, Belgium to support growing cold chain business
Envirotainer, a world-leader in secure cold chain logistics solutions, primarily within the life science industries, has announced that as part of its continued network expansion, the company opened a new service station in Liege, Belgium to support growing cold chain business of the life science industry.
The opening of the LGG service station on March 3rd, 2014 expanded Envirotainer to a total of 52 stations across EMEA, APAC and Americas.
“The opening of our Liege Station is the result of a rewarding collaboration between Envirotainer and our customers and partners, which resulted in the 24th Envirotainer Station in Europe, located at the award-winning airport-Liège,” said Niklas Lönnkvist, head of healthcare sales, EMEA from Envirotainer.
He continued, “Significant investments in logistics have been made in this region and the air cargo industry has identified the need for having Time and Temperature sensitive products routed via Liège-Airport, which is within a three hours distance from Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt and Paris.”
Finally, Lönnkvist added, “Envirotainer shares the vision of this region and wishes to contribute with its market leading cold chain products, services and expertise to the Benelux life science industry.”
Envirotainer continues to invest and evaluate its network to ensure that The Active Cold Chain is brought to where the customers are. Envirotainer customers can now pick up and drop off their containers in Liege, and through the vast Envirotianer network with partners; they can ship life science products to more than 200 destinations globally.
