Ethypharm, a leading French multinational drug delivery has signed a new out-licensing and supply contract for the Colombian market with Euroetika Ltda, a leading Colombian drug company. The products will be supplied by its wholly owned subsidiary Ethypharm LL India.

The deal is for three products, namely, tizanidine sustained release - a skeletal muscle relaxant, metaclopramide sustained release - an antiemetic and levocetirizine orodispersible tablets - anti histamine agent. The products would be supplied from Ethypharm's manufacturing facility near Mumbai as penultimate stage bulk formulations and converted to finished formulations in Colombia under technical supervision from Ethypharm, states the company release.

"This deal would consolidate Ethypharm's already significant presence in the South & Latin America markets," said, Ajey Kumar, chief executive officer, Ethypharm LL India.

Euroetika Ltda is also an existing customer of Ethypharm for other Novel Drug Delivery System (NDDS) products.

Ethypharm is a pharmaceutical laboratory specialised in controlled release systems of medical products for the oral route. Its principal therapeutic areas concern pain, cardio-vascular and the central nervous system.
