Eurocor GmbH, a group company of Opto Circuits (India) Ltd. has now received the CE (Conformité Européenne) Mark for its E-Magic Plus Sirolimus eluting coronary stent system.

E-Magic Plus is providing the latest technology in combining ultra-thin strut of a CoCr stent, with an optimal Sirolimus coating. Fully biodegradable polymer is minimising delayed healing and late adverse events.

According to Vinod Ramnani CMD, Opto Circuits (India) Limited the CE mark approval of E-Magic Plus, represents a key milestone for Eurocor GmbH. We are now back in the largest cardiovascular product range, the DES. Thanks to its innovative technology, we’ll be able to further expand treatment options for patients with introduction of E-Magic Plus highly differentiated DES with Sirolimus Coating and biodegradable polymer.

E-Magic Plus received registration approval in India last year and has been available for sale for few months already. More than 3000 implants have been completed so far, and preliminary outcomes are in line with expectations, with no MACE nor re-intervention.

“E-Magic PlusTM has the lowest strut thickness, which is key to reduce risks of clinical and angiographic restenosis according to ISAR STEREO II . This DES is showing good  post therapy results,” said Prof P. Chandra, The Medicity, India.

With this CE Mark approval, Eurocor GmbH is preparing to make the E-Magic Plus commercially available in Europe and other markets where the approval can expedite the registration process.
