In order to boost the healthcare industry with new technologies, Evonik India has showcased its new technologies for healthcare industry, pharmaceuticals and chemical industry, medical devices and technologies catering to these industries. These technologies have been demonstrated at the two-day global event organised by Evonik India, subsidiary of Germany-based Evonik Industries.

Senior professionals from Dr Reddy's, Cipla, Jubiliant, Alembic and many other pharmaceutical companies attended the seminar. “We have received a huge and positive response. It is one of the kind of technical seminar which was arranged for the first time in India. We have included distinguished speakers to present technologies which can cater to pharmaceutical, food and healthcare industry,” said Frank Lelek, president, Evonik India.

He further added, “The feedback we received from the participants was very good and we look forward to arrange more such seminars in future.”

The main purpose of bringing all experts and healthcare stakeholders together at such a big platform was to share their insights about the nanotechnology to efficient active ingredients to shape the future of pharma and healthcare industry.

The key speakers, Dr Panos Konstantinides, present vice chair of AAPS Formulation Design and Development (FDD) Section and an affiliate professor at Roosevelt University, Illinois shared various case studies pertaining to nanotechnology in drug formulation and design and development, Dr Kevin Burton demonstrated advanced delivery in modern pharmaceutics: conjugation of APIs to macromolecules, Dr RBN Prasad from Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad presented his research carried out on vegetable oil based nutraceuticals and reduced calorie facts at the institute and Dr Kumar Abhinava presented his research on environmental benefits using OSN Membrane technology for efficient API purifications.
