EVOQ Medical introduces blynq, a smartphone app for doctors to solve EHR interoperability issues
EVOQ Medical, a startup health technology firm, has announced the nationwide release of blynq, a smartphone app for physicians, that delivers comprehensive patient data at the point of care, aggregating both clinic and inpatient records from multiple EHRs in real time into an easily accessible format.
"The challenges of EHR Interoperability and Data Security were two of the most talked about issues of concern by healthcare executives at the HIMSS Annual Conference a few weeks ago, and blynq is a solution for both," according to EVOQ Medical's founder and chief executive officer, Reuben Buckareff. "We have designed blynq as a cloud-based technology that is able to consolidate patient information across multiple healthcare communities, and provide comprehensive, secure, accessible and shareable data."
blynq operates on both iOS and Android platforms, creating efficient workflows for physicians because it provides everything needed at the point of care to deliver, manage and refer care. During 2016, blynq was in its test development stage with approximately 200 providers in Florida and Alabama. The clearest evidence of the positive disruption that blynq is having on physicians is that effective users of blynq have shown that they are saving one or more minutes per patient encounter, which is giving back thirty minutes or more in each work day, leading to improved physician productivity and satisfaction.
The investment in most IT initiatives is extremely expensive and very time consuming. Perhaps the most appealing aspects of blynq are that there is no capital cost involved and implementation only takes one or two weeks. Pricing for use of blynq is on a monthly subscription model, based on the number of users at a client location, and no long term commitment is required.
EVOQ Medical's flagship product, blynq, is a Physician Engagement Platform that consolidates electronic health record data from multiple systems and creates a longitudinal patient record that providers can access in real time at the point-of-care. Led by healthcare and technology industry veterans, EVOQ has created an easy-to-use, provider-friendly platform that drives improved physician productivity, higher provider satisfaction, increased provider and higher health network efficiency in a cloud-based, software-as-a-service platform.
