Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA) is organizing its 25th Congress at Kota Kinabalu Sabah, Malaysia from October 9 to 12, 2014. The event coincides with the 50th anniversary of FAPA’s formation.

The theme of the three-day event is ‘Expanding the Pharmacists Roles in Wellness and Sustainable Health’.

The event is hosted by FAPA but is jointly organized by Malaysian Pharmaceuticals Society and the Pharmaceutical Services Division, Ministry of Health. The local organized is Sabah Pharmaceutical Society.

The plenary and keynote speakers of the conference will be represented from the South East Asian Region. The sessions will highlight on pharmacy education, industrial pharmacy, drug marketing & socio-economic pharmacy, hospital and clinical pharmacy, community pharmacy, phyto-pharmacy and pharmacopoeia.

According to Dato’ Eisah Abdul Rahman, honorary advisor, FAPA Congress 2014, the international pharmacy congress is an important component of the continuing professional development programme in which pharmacy profession can come together to share the knowledge without borders and barriers.
