FDC, a Rs.800 crore plus Aurangabad based pharma major posted lower net profit of Rs.29.91 crore during the third quarter ended December 2014 from Rs.40.48 crore in the similar period of last year, a de-growth of 26.1 per cent due to lower sales and higher input costs. Its net sales improved marginally by 0.8 per cent to Rs.201 crore from Rs.200 crore. EPS went down to Rs.1.60 from Rs.2.28 in the last period.
For the nine months ended December 2014, FDC's net sales improved only by 3.9 per cent to Rs.658.15 crore from Rs.633.67 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Its net profit declined by 15.6 per cent to Rs.112.01 crore from Rs.132.63 crore. Due to lower profit its EPS declined to Rs.6.30 from Rs.7.43. EBDITA also moved down by 3.7 per cent to Rs.187.06 crore from Rs.194.15 crore.
