First Clinical and iiBIG settle legal dispute
Alexandria, Virginia | Saturday, February 21, 2015, 15:00 Hrs  [IST]

First Clinical Research and the International Institute for Business Growth & Information LLC (iiBIG) have settled their legal dispute.  First Clinical and iiBIG had sued one another seeking monetary damages for breach of contract related to the dissolution of their partnership.  iiBIG also asserted a claim for defamation, alleging that First Clinical made certain statements that were untrue and harmful to iiBIG’s reputation.  Both sides presented their cases before a jury in federal court this past summer and iiBIG prevailed.

By this settlement, the parties have agreed to terms by which that judgment will be satisfied, this dispute will be put behind them, and they can focus their energies on their separate professional endeavors.

According to First Clinical’s managing director, Norman Goldfarb, “This is one of those cases where each side firmly believed it was in the right and the other was in the wrong, but that is what courts and juries are for.  The jury largely ruled in iiBIG's favor, including that certain statements I made were defamatory, so I accept responsibility and apologise for any harm to iiBIG that my statements may have caused. It was a difficult period for both parties and am glad that it is finally over. I wish iiBIG well.”

“I am glad to get this dispute behind us,” says, Buford. “The last couple of years have been distracting for all concerned.  With this settlement it is time to let bygones be bygones.”  Buford added. “I was proud to be associated with the MAGI conference, and I wish it continued success,” Buford concluded.

iiBIG (International Institute for Business Information & Growth) is an unbiased, independent company dedicated to organizing business-to-business conferences and seminars for senior-level business executives.

First Clinical Research produces MAGI’s Clinical Research Conferences, which offer a 100%, money-back satisfaction guarantee to attendees.
