Fitso raises $ 200k from angel investors

Fitso, a health and fitness app, has raised $ 200K of angel funding from a group of angel investors namely Sujeet Kumar (ex-president, Flipkart), Bhupinder (CEO, INtelenet), Yashish Dhaiya (CEO, Policy Bazaar) and a few more. Fitso was launched with an idea to make fitness accessible and affordable for everyone, users can do their work out anytime-anywhere, eliminating the need for a gym membership or expensive equipment.

With this round of funding, Fitso intends to invest extensively in product development, expanding its team, making the app more engaging and easy to use. Additionally, the team has also launched multiple offline training classes for running, swimming and triathlon in Delhi NCR and building a team of best coaches to provide personal training.

“Fitso has become a brand name in health and fitness market after getting "Best App of the year 2016" by Apple, helping 3 lac users getting fit in just less than 6 months. We already have break-even and hitting the route of profitability providing personal fitness and nutrition training to users across India,” said Rahool Sureka, co-founder, Fitso.

Sujeet Kumar (ex-president, Flipkart), Bhupinder (CEO, INtelenet), Yashish Dhaiya (CEO, Policy Bazaar) and few other investors came together with the help of Let's Venture to fund fitso, have also invested in multiple successful startups like Grofers, Nest Away etc.

Fitso application is available for both Apple iOS and Android mobile. It provides professional guidance for weight loss, weight gain and other fitness activities. And introducing personal trainers and dietitian accompanying you throughout your fitness plans is the new revolution brought in by Fitso. Through this app, you can hire a personal coach at minor cost starting from Rs. 500 per month. Getting a personal nutritionist and a fitness trainer is a dream for so many people because of the high cost and commitment involved.
