Fortis Healthcare Limited, a Ranbaxy promoter group company has planned to introduce six hospitals in next five years with total investment outlay of over Rs 1,100 crore. The first of the Fortis Hospitals in the NCR, built at a project outlay of Rs 100 crore at Noida, will be launched shortly. This will be followed by the launch of Fortis Jessaram Hospital in Pusa Road. The other hospitals will be in different parts of Delhi and in Gurgaon.
Fortis aims to establish an integrated Health Delivery System in India. Each of the hospitals will have multi-speciality capabilities with excellence in one or more super specialities in areas like Orthopedics, Neuro Sciences, Oncology, Cardiac Sciences etc, an official release said.
Speaking on the expansion plans, Shivinder Mohan Singh, Jt. Mg. Director, Fortis said, "Over the next few years, it is our endeavour to create newer and better benchmarks in the delivery of healthcare in India, comparable to other developed countries of the world. With our focus on North India, we aim to increase the number of beds to over 4,000 in the next five years from the existing 570 beds."
