Garden City gears up for Bangalore Bio 2004

The premier annual event for the biotechnology industry in Asia - Bangalore BIO 2004, which consists of an exhibition and conferences devoted to biotechnology, will take place from July 11- 13, 2004 at the Palace grounds in Bangalore. This event is promoted by the Government of Karnataka and organised by the Vision Group on Biotechnology.

Leading Biotech nations, various states of India, prominent Biotechnology companies, best of R&D institutions, Biotechnology Educational Institutions, Venture Capital & Financial Institutions, will be participating in the trade show. An exclusive B2B platform will be provided to explore the Business opportunities, the officials informed.

Dr. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, chairperson, Vision Group on Biotechnology & CMD Biocon Group said, "Bangalore Bio has built a strong brand for itself which attracts all stake holders in the sector to participate in this event. Bangalore Bio has also played a key role in placing India on the Global Biotechnology map. Today Indian Biotechnology is poised for global success and Bangalore Bio is the ideal platform to get an insight into the exciting developments that are taking place in this sector."

The three-day Bangalore Bio 2004 will provide an exclusive forum for the Biotech Industry to come face- to- face with a highly skilled talent pool of knowledge workers in the Biotech field.

The theme for the Bangalore Bio 2004 Conference is 'Biotechnology for a Billion People'. The Conference to be held at J.N Tata Auditorium Bangalore will feature sessions handled by International Biotechnology experts on various topics including R & D Outsourcing, Vaccines & Therapeutics, Diagnostics, Industrial & Environmental Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Clinical Research, Intellectual Property Rights, Biologics Manufacturing, IT Enabled Bio Services and Bio Invest.
