GE Healthcare has inked an exclusive distribution agreement with Spinco Biotech, a leading distributor of analytical and life science instruments, reagents and chemicals. The effort will help the company to expand its life sciences footprint in India.

Customers will now have access to a range of GE Healthcare's life sciences products including chemicals, membrane and films, electrophoresis units and reagents, sample prep, bioassays and chromatography media products through this distribution partnership. This will provide customers with an unparalleled combination of more compelling solutions, product quality and value.

GE Healthcare will also continue as a direct distributor in India for its flagship bio-processing and drug discovery product ranges like Akta, Biacore and IN Cell, as well as offering technical and service support to all customers.

The company's life sciences division provides the latest in drug discovery, biopharmaceutical research and manufacturing apart from cellular technologies so that scientists can access new ways to predict, diagnose and treat diseases earlier. The business has been steadily increasing its footprint in India with the setting up of an R&D centre, Fast Trak BioPharma Services and an education centre in Bangalore.
