Generex Biotechnology aerosol formulation patent accepted in New Zealand

Generex Biotechnology Corporation has received a Notice of Acceptance from the Intellectual Property office of New Zealand. The patent relates to aerosol formulations for buccal and pulmonary applications. The acceptance of the patent will be advertised in the Official Journal of the Australian Patent Office on May 15, 2003.

"This acceptance demonstrates that our foreign patent strategy is progressing well along with our U.S. strategy. We believe this will enhance Generex's potential for licensing the marketing rights for our clinical portfolio," stated Anna Gluskin, President and CEO of Generex.

Generex continues to enhance its foreign patent portfiolio. The company holds 15 foreign patents along with 56 patent applications pending in 8 countries. Canada and Australia are among the countries that have already issued patents to the company. In addition to its foreign success, Generex's US patent portfolio is also growing. The company has already been issued 16 patents, along with 7 patent applications pending.
