Global automation fair to be held in Hyderabad

Interkama, a leading global automation fair will be held for the first time at Hitex, Hyderabad, from September 24-27, 2003. The fair is expecting over 100 participants, comprising of leading Indian and international companies. Pharma India 2003 and Biotech India International will also be held concurrent to Interkama. Messe Dusseldorf, through its Indian subsidiary, Cidex Trade Fairs, will be organizing Interkama, India 2003. The event aims at focusing on manufacturing automation, instrumentation and Integrated IT solutions.

“With a high level foreign participation, the fair is going to be India's No. 1 event in instrumentation and automation,” said K.C. Damodaran, director, Cidex Trade Fairs.

The fair is expected to attract visitors particularly from chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, power, food, packaging, metal, metallurgy, oil and gas, refinery automobile and information technology. The fair has already received confirmation from leading Indian companies in the automation industry, including Forbes Marshall, Greaves Ltd, Druck India, Teknic, Endress + Hauser, Chemtrols Engineering etc.

R. Vanamali, Chairman, Interkama Advisory Board and Managing Director, Endress + Hauser India, explained for the need for such a high-class fair for the fast expanding Indian industry. “Interkama will help to improve the Indian technology be on par with world leaders.”
